Revisiting Morinda’s origins and destiny

We’ve just re-released a blast from the past, so come watch our revised “Origins and Destiny” video!


Back in 2004, we released a film titled “Origins and Destiny.” Narrated by famed film, television and stage actor Patrick Stewart, this film explained the history of noni, how eventual Morinda president and founder John Wadsworth came to discover noni, and how the company came to develop our revolutionary Tahitian Noni Juice.

Well, 10 years later, we’ve just revisited this classic video and released an updated version. It now features an introduction from Wadsworth, who explains how Morinda has continued to make progress over the years.

While watching the video, you may notice how certain things have changed over the years. We’re no longer called Tahitian Noni International, we now distribute our products in even more countries than when the video was originally made, we’ve learned more about noni (specifically with the discovery of
iridoids), we’ve created groundbreaking new products, and our founders are a few years older (although they no doubt have a low TruAge!).

But what hasn’t changed is our passion for noni, or our commitment to help people all over the world live younger, longer with the help of the earth’s best ingredients.

What have you done since your Regional Business Summit?

We launched some pretty spectacular things at our Regional Business Summits. Have you taken advantage?


In the last few months Kelly and I, along with some of our talented country managers and sales staff, have traveled around the world to attend your Regional Business Summits. We met with IPCs in Japan, the United States, Taiwan, Singapore, Ireland, Hong Kong and Columbia. We shook thousands of hands, took thousands of pictures and logged thousands (and thousands!) of frequent flier miles.

Whenever I return to my home in Utah after a long trip overseas, friends and family will often ask me “Was it worth it?” And I answer them honestly, and enthusiastically: YES! Get a plan, make it happen

Want long-lasting, stable growth? Get a plan. Build your machine. Get ready to go!

This last week I had the chance to sit down with quite a few IPCs, one on one, and discuss their current growth, progress and experiences. The vibe that is coming from each of these is one of rumbling anticipation. Each one that I have spoken to has told me that they are NOT hoping for a sudden burst of growth in sales and recruitment, but rather a slow-growth, building upon a stable foundation using the tools that Morinda has provided them, and creating a legacy that will last well into the future.

They are tired of the “flash in the pan” hypes and charades that have been popular in the network marketing world these last few years.

These IPC leaders want stability.

For those who may not know, I was an English major. I’ve read books and writings from authors all over the world. During one of my meetings this last week, one book I read almost 20 years ago came to mind.  You may have heard of it, it’s called “War and Peace” by Leo Tolstoy.

In one of his chapters, Tolstoy goes into great detail describing the organization and preparation of one of the armies as they were about to commence battle. Comparing their movements and positions to the inner workings of a wind-up clock, he painted a beautiful image of gears and springs, turning and popping cogs into place, working as one to accomplish the movements of the hour, minute and second hands.

It was this image that came to mind as one of your fellow IPCs was laying out for me their plan for achieving
Area Developer. Now this is a leader who has some way to go before hitting the first level of the Area Developer program. He has had some struggles lately with stagnant growth and even loss. However, when I asked him point blank when he was going to hit his first month of qualification, without hesitation, he gave me a specific date.
He has a plan. He knows exactly who he is going to work with to help them move to Jade. He knows which individuals will be the gear or the cog to move their group forward, and he knows exactly how far each of these cogs need to be rotated by himself and his leaders to move their organization as a whole into the correct position. Obviously they cannot move to the final position of AD in one step. It is a process of progress, and each step needs to be mapped out and planned for.

But that is the key… he HAS his plan. And he is making it happen.

Shortly after I shared this analogy that Tolstoy much more eloquently created about the organization of the army and their unified purpose, we also discussed another literary classic: “Oh The Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss.

If you have not read this book, or if it has been a while, I would encourage you to do so as soon as you are able. In one of his greatest works, Dr. Seuss lays out the possibilities of adventure and journey like no one else can. Much like building a Network Marketing organization, the direction, speed and success are all unlimited in their potential. The excitement of living younger longer and building an income stream that makes life a little easier and a little better, is the draw that brings most people into this industry.

So as you plan out your strategy, as you design your gears and springs and cogs to execute your plan for success, may I share with you a final quote from Dr. Seuss:

“So be sure when you step, Step with care and great tact. And remember that life’s A Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed) Kid, you’ll move mountains.”

IPCs in Japan are Eager to Share the Morinda Opportunity

IPCs in Japan are working hard to take full advantage of everything Morinda has to offer

Throughout the month of August, Morinda sales offices in Osaka, Tokyo, and Sapporo have been holding recap meetings for Morinda IPCs designed to capture the spirit of the Japan Business Summit-an event that drew more than 3,300 people. All told, over 800 distributors showed up to these recap meetings, all because they were excited to learn more about the bold vision of Morinda's future. 
These recap meetings reignited the spirit that was felt at the Japan Business Summit. Each meeting carefully went into detail about the Area Developer Program, TruAge Core, Conversion, Autoship Reward Program, TruAge Skin AGE Therapy Gel and TruAge Community Pro. "Morinda covers both business IPCs and consumer IPCs. Everything is aligned," said an IPC who was in attendance. "We can take advantages of all these programs for our benefit. I am glad to be a part of Morinda."
Another Morinda IPC, Mineo Suzuki, said, "Now, all the pieces have come together. We have to look more seriously into the core of Morinda Business. Opportunity is with Morinda." Suzuki has since changed his training contents to focus on the Morinda compensation plan and the Morinda opportunity.
He was not the only one who put more of a focus on his business after these recap meetings. In fact, Sugimoto, a leader of the Hokuriku group, has encouraged her group to "look at big picture and vision of Morinda, do not worry too much for little things".
The TruAge Community was something discussed in depth at these meetings, and the introduction of Daily Deals created a lot of buzz. Daily Deals have been a huge success in Japan so far; every single one of the Daily Deals have sold out within just a few minutes. "TruAge Community Pro is such a deal. It has already paid for itself because of the discounted price from the Daily Deals," said a Morinda IPC in Japan. "There are so many features that I love including connect, the AGE lab, the kitchen and the film room. I am so excited to share my experience with Community Pro with my team."
